Tütar gallery has signed a representation agreement with artist Katrin Piile, whose solo show “In Search of Idyll” was also the gallery’s inaugural exhibition.
Katrin Piile (1987) is a painter and draftsman whose works primarily deal with technical painting skills, color composition, the history of painting , and various methods of artistic representation. Piile seeks abstraction from realistic objects, and her paintings and drawings are often executed in a hyper-realistic style.
In 2010, Katrin Piile graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a degree in painting. Katrin Piile has been showcasing her art since 2006. She joined the Estonian Painters’ Association in 2019, and in 2023, she also became a member of the Estonian Artists’ Association. In 2020, she was honored with Malle Leis Art Award.
Recent exhibitions by Katrin Piile include “Origami” (2023) at Hobusepea and Pärnu City Gallery with sculptor Art Allmägi, and “In Search of Idyll” (2023) at Tütar gallery.
