Exhibition by Angela Maasalu will open in Tütar gallery

On Thursday, 12th of December at 7 pm, Angela Maasalu will open her solo exhibition “The Sound of Music” at Tütar gallery.

Angela Maasalu (1990) focuses her work on personal and intimate themes, exploring the contradictions of human experience – happiness and misfortune, the drama and comedy of life. She weaves autobiographical fragments with symbolic and poetic imagery, transforming personal experience into something universal. Maasalu’s works are characterized by rich metaphors, a fairy-tale quality, and hidden narratives.

The exhibition’s theme arises from contemplations on the cyclical nature of history and the current societal climate, drawing its title from the 1965 musical film. Through her paintings, the artist delves into the interplay between mainstream media and the pervasive fear of war, examining how these forces shape human perception.
